Bauer and Huco to serve up power transmission solutions at Anuga FoodTec 2022

Leading brands of Altra Industrial Motion Corp., Bauer Gear Motor and Huco, will be displaying hygienic motors and precision couplings for the food and beverage industry at Anuga FoodTec 2022. Taking place from 26-29 April at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, visitors will be able to meet both brands in Hall 10.1, Stand C041 during the event.

Anuga FoodTec is an international trade show for all aspects of food and beverage production. Gathering global suppliers, the show focuses on the latest technological innovations in the sector. Visitors to Bauer and Huco will be able see physical products, browse solutions on digital screens and discuss applications with food and beverage industry experts.

Bauer Gear Motor

Bauer Gear Motor will be showcasing its highly efficient, hygienically designed range of geared motors for use in demanding washdown environments. Taking centre stage will be its IE4 HiflexDRIVE permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) – a drive solution specifically designed to meet the stringent cleanliness standards of the food and beverage sector. The PMSM configuration delivers excellent efficiency, ideal for saving energy and minimising carbon footprint across large installations or in continuous processing operations. The rotor design reduces heat losses 100%, total losses by around 25%, while increasing total efficiency by 10% or more.

On stand, Bauer will display a stainless steel HiflexDRIVE, ideal for preserving hygienic compliance in areas with mechanical impact risks. This will be joined by an aseptic version too, featuring a specialised coating which resists acids and alkalis across a pH range of 2 – 12, ideal for close contact with cleaning chemicals. Both feature smooth, easy to clean exteriors that help to prevent corrosion, contaminate and bacteria build up. Furthermore, motors are available in up to IP69K ingress protection ratings to resist even the most regular washdowns.

Huco

Huco has built a reputation for providing a comprehensive range of standard and customised precision couplings to food and beverage processing machinery OEMs. Its flagship Oldham coupling, which features high torsional stiffness for precise performance, is a popular selection for filling, labelling and capping machines. Zero backlash Single and Multi-Beam couplings will be displayed, featuring various levels of torsional stiffness and radial flexibility. TB Wood’s Dura-Flex and Sure-Flex couplings complete the selection, both of which feature a flexible design to absorb shocks and protect equipment.
