Burckhardt Compression Receives Unique Certification

Burckhardt Compression, a leading manufacturer of reciprocating compressors and a full-service provider, has received an exclusive Certificate of Apprenticeship from the U.S. Department of Labor to train and certify Laby® Compressor Technicians. This recognition underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing the skills of its workforce and contributing to the broader industry.

This certification allows Burckhardt Compression (US) Inc. to train its technicians on a specific kind of reciprocating compressor – the Laby® compressor – a product unique to Burckhardt Compression and renowned globally for its exceptional performance. The training program, offered only internally at this stage, entails 144 hours of classroom instruction and 2’000 hours of hands-on experience. Upon completion, participants will be awarded a diploma directly from the U.S. Department of Labor.

This certification is the first step in Burckhardt Compression’s broader vision for employee development. The company aims to expand this program to include training for millwrights, potentially leading to an associate degree.
