Easy install, high protection Abox junction box range expands
For indoor use, the Abox junction box is designed for the installation of 5-pole connections and is suitable for the connection of meter panels to the main power supply and circuit distributors. Featuring IP54/65 protection, the Abox can withstand liquid splashes from all directions and is dust-tight. With raised terminals on a flame-resistant polystyrene base, the Abox can be used to protect electrical distribution in damp locations.
Innovative optional plug-in terminals enable faster installation with a soft elastic material on each entry hole that allows cables to be easily pushed through the membrane while upholding the IP rating. The range now includes a terminal capacity of 70mm2.
For outdoor and demanding industrial applications, the Abox-i range is constructed from highly resilient polycarbonate and achieves IP65 protection, meaning resistance to low pressure water jets with total sealing against dust penetration. Abox-i is also highly resistant to impact and features IK08 protection, one of the highest levels and giving equivalent protection from 1.7kg dropped from a height of 30cm.
The Abox XT SL also includes screwless WAGO terminals that meet all normative requirements for contact security. Cable installation is a fast process and includes five plug-in terminal blocks. The expanded range now means that 3 x 6mm2 cross sections can be clamped per pole.
