ECS Engineering Services celebrates ‘Hat-Trick’ in recertification

29th August 2024

ECS Engineering Services is proud to announce a remarkable achievement, securing a trio of recertifications for its core accreditations in a single day. This ‘hat trick’ of certifications underscores ECS’s unwavering commitment to excellence in health, safety, environmental management, and quality.

In July 2024, ECS successfully passed the BM Trada SSIP Management Systems Certification Audit, achieving three separate certifications:

• ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System
• ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management System
• ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System

The ECS team’s ability to secure all three certifications demonstrates the company’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards in workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and quality control.

In addition to the trio of ISO certification, ECS has also successfully passed recertification audits from the TÜV, a highly respected inspection, certification, and testing services organisation. The recertifications applies to two critical standards:

• EN 1090 – Factory Production Control
• BS EN ISO 3834 – Fusion Welding of Metallic Materials

On top of this, ECS has once again secured its Achilles UVDB accreditation, earning an impressive 100% score. This cements ECS’s reputation for excellence in supply chain management, health and safety, quality and environmental practices.

Finally, ECS has also retained the prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) President’s Award for the 14th consecutive year. This award recognises consistent excellence in health and safety management, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the wellbeing of its employees and stakeholders.

Mandy Cross, Group SHEQ Manager at ECS, said: “Achieving three certified accreditations and six certifications in one week is a significant milestone for ECS. It reflects the hard work, dedication, and teamwork of our SHEQ team and everyone else involved. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without their unwavering commitment.”

Specialising in bespoke design and construction of water, energy, and environmental management projects, ECS remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards across all aspects of its operations.
