ECS wins RoSPA Gold Award for 13th consecutive time
“We are proud to have been recognised by RoSPA with the President’s Award as well as our latest Gold Award. Thirteen is a number associated with luck, but there is no luck involved in this incredible achievement. Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and our team has excelled in developing and implementing health and safety policies across the business,” says Mark Watkins, Managing Director at ECS.
RoSPA is a leading voice in health and safety, working to reduce avoidable accidents. Its awards recognise the achievements of people and businesses that have displayed good safety performance. The Gold Award is its top annual prize and is judged on health and safety management systems, culture, risk control and levels of error, harm and loss. An organisation can only qualify for a President’s Award if it has scored between 10 and 14 consecutive Gold Awards.
In its position as an appointed framework contractor to water authorities, utilities, drainage boards and the Environment Agency, ECS’ personnel regularly work in demanding working environments. The company’s safety and quality standards are further evidenced by its supply of fabrications to the nuclear sector.
“Beyond our facility, we work closely with our customers and contractors to reduce on-site risks, protecting personnel, the public and the surrounding environment as much as possible. We are adept at working in challenging or sensitive areas, and this is largely due to our focus on safety standards,” Mark concludes.
