Sulzer brings expert power generation solutions to Enlit Asia 2022

Sulzer will be showcasing its best-in-class pump technologies and rotating equipment services for power generation applications at Enlit Asia 2022. Visitors can meet with the company’s experts on Booth 801 from September 20-22 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).

With over two centuries of power generation heritage, Sulzer has supported the security, growing demand and diversification of Asia’s energy sector with specialist pump technology and rotating equipment services. Providing solutions to maximize process availability and ensure uninterrupted production, Sulzer is also supporting new renewable projects, enhancing efficiency and helping to reduce the carbon footprint of its customers. With power grids in Asia becoming increasingly flexible, the company has the knowledge to meet any application change or challenge.

Flow Equipment

As a global pump OEM, Sulzer is at the very forefront of power generation applications. Supporting traditional power plants as well as renewable facilities such as solar, hydropower or geothermal – Sulzer provides specialist pumps customized for the requirements of each installation. Designed for maximum efficiency and service life, typical applications include feedwater pumps, condensate extraction pumps, cooling water pumps as well as general plant pumps.

Services

Providing 24/7 repair and upgrade services for rotating equipment from any brand, Sulzer can support all types of power generation facility in Asia. With 19 regional service centers seamlessly connected to its wider global network, the company maintains and upgrades pumps, turbomachinery, motors, generators and more. Sulzer’s offering includes innovative retrofits for legacy pumps, turbomachinery and electromechanical equipment which enhance efficiency and reduce carbon footprint cost-effectively. Reverse engineering and spare parts manufacture is a Sulzer specialty, supported by state-of-the-art 3D scanning, CNC machines, welding and additive manufacturing. Complex parts, such as turbine blades and coils, are produced in-house. Dedicated field service teams can quickly react to any on-site requirement.

Alba Power, now a Sulzer company, will also highlight its expanded service capabilities for aeroderivative gas turbines models such as Rolls Royce RB211 and Avon models.

Sulzer has provided advanced turbomachinery services in Asia for over 25 years, overhauling more than 53 GW of turbine capacity in the region thus far. The company can manufacture turbine and compressor blades as well as hot gas path and combustion parts for GE, Hitachi and Siemens units for example. Sulzer also provides remaining life assessment (RLA) and life extension (LE) services for gas turbine rotors and parts. Rotor welding repairs eliminate the need for costly and time-consuming replacements, with the option for material upgrades including chromium. A quick and cost-effective way to extend service life, Sulzer offers this service for steam turbines up to 600 MW.

Show highlights

All these products, services and more will be showcased in an explorable 3D power landscape on the stand. Physical exhibits will include steam and gas turbine spare parts, a transition piece, combustion liner and generator coil – illustrating Sulzer’s parts manufacturing capabilities. 3D scanning demonstrations will be held too, showing how the company uses the technology for reverse engineering, spare parts production and fault finding.

Sulzer experts will also be sharing their technical knowledge, with Ronisingh Chitana, Engineering Manager at Sulzer presenting Reliability & risks for Boiler-feed pumps amid flexible power generation requirements in the Generation & Asset Optimization Knowledge Hub on September 20 at 2 pm.

Visitors will also have the chance to win a free pump training course or pump inspection package by taking part in a giveaway competition on stand.

Enlit Asia 2022 takes place from September 20-23 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangkok, Thailand. Visitors can meet with Sulzer experts in Booth 801.
