ECS is growing its team of professionals, providing those looking to enter engineering with the opportunity to engage in landmark projects in the water, nuclear and construction sectors. New hires will support multiple framework contracts held by the business and its entrance into new markets.

Working closely with government agencies, local authorities and private companies, ECS has provided highly responsive engineering services throughout the UK for over 30 years. Based in Nottinghamshire, the business is an established framework contractor for water authorities nationwide, has achieved Fit4Nuclear status and operates a fabrications department accredited to EXC4. In-house capabilities and on-site teams combine to deliver a turnkey approach to any project.

The business is currently looking to hire a new Estimator, Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Project Engineer, Mechanical Supervisor and a Facilities/M&E Maintenance Manager. Anyone wanting to start their career in engineering can email their CV to [email protected], with a list of available vacancies here.

“As well as supporting the local area with new job opportunities, we have welcomed many professionals to our team. We recently hired Dileep as our new Quality Engineer, Julieanne as an Assistant Accountant, Richard as an Estimator, Stephanie our new Contracts Manager and Steve as a Project Engineer. It’s exciting to work with new people and expand our expertise,” says Steve Crapper, Precontracts Director at ECS.

“We are a growing business, providing engineering solutions and turnkey services to the water, nuclear and construction industries. To meet the project requirements of our customers, we not only need to grow our in-house and on-site capabilities but also invest in our people too. This way, we can organically improve our service levels and better support our customers.”

New employees can expect to be involved in wide range of projects. Recently, ECS has supported multiple UK nuclear sites and decommissioning projects with high-quality fabrications. ECS has also installed the first ever set of moulded fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) lock gates on behalf of the Environment Agency at Sunbury Dry Dock on the River Thames. The business was appointed as the regionwide framework contractor for mechanical services for Severn Trent Water and as a mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) framework contractor for Anglian Water. National Highways has also extended its agreement with ECS to maintain multiple drainage pumping stations in Derbyshire, the East Midlands and Nottinghamshire.
