Optimal highlights latest advances in Processing 4.0 at CHEMUK 2022

The Optimal Group, consisting of Optimal Industrial Technologies and Optimal Industrial Automation, will highlight the benefits of automated process and quality control at CHEMUK 2022. Visitors will be given a unique insight into the opportunities available for the chemical and pharmaceutical supply chain during presentations that explore both technical and commercial advantages. Optimal will also showcase the latest advances in Processing 4.0 with fully integrated solutions as well as key equipment on stand with leading experts on hand to discuss specific requirements.

CHEMUK, taking place from 11th-12th May 2022, is the UK’s only major expo for the country’s chemical industries. It brings together key players from the entire supply chain across two co-located shows; ‘The Chemical, Process & Plant Engineering Show’, and ‘The Chemical Industries Supply Chain Show’.

Offering comprehensive digitalisation support to chemical manufacturers as well as businesses in other challenging and highly regulated industries, Optimal will showcase its offering during the event. In particular, the company will highlight how its Process Analytical Technology (PAT) knowledge management platform and customised automation solutions can boost productivity, efficiency and flexibility while futureproofing processes and operations.

Attendees will be invited to learn more about the opportunities offered by PAT and automated process control at Optimal’s presentations. These will cover the role of such solutions in the digital transformation of the chemical industry as well as how they can be applied in R&D through to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-compliant manufacturing.

Practical implementations of smart, automated process control, driven by Optimal’s award-winning PAT knowledge management platform, synTQ, will also be available to view on stand K53. These will display how a number of example unit operations, such as mixers, bioreactors and liquid handling systems, can be optimised to reduce cycle times while improving product quality and consistency. Visitors will also be able to look at real-world digital twins of Orchestrations (PAT Methods). These are virtual representations of complete PAT workflows that can be tested in silico prior to commissioning the hardware. This approach saves considerable time and raw materials and is, of course, fully in line with Industry 4.0 principles.

During the two-day event, attendees will be able to discuss their specific requirements with experts from the Optimal Group. Providing an insight on how customised automated processes and PAT can advance R&D and testing laboratories as well as pilot- and commercial-scale manufacturing, companies can find out how they can boost their competitiveness in the chemical sector.
