Optimal Industrial Technologies sponsors XVIII International Summer School on Advanced Biotechnology

29th August 2024

Optimal Industrial Technologies has announced that it is sponsoring the XVIII International Summer School on Advanced Biotechnology, taking place from 2-4 September, 2024, at the Zürich University of Applied Sciences in Wädenswil, Switzerland. Organised by Biotechnet, this prestigious event will bring together students and scientists from both academia and industry to explore cutting-edge topics in biotechnology.

The three-day event will feature introductory presentations on key topics and application challenges in the field. Attendees will gain insights into biocatalysis, biosynthesis, drug development, drug delivery, nanotechnology, diagnostic and analytical technology, and food biotechnology. The summer school aims to foster connections, broaden professional networks, and provide participants insights into the latest advancements in biotechnology.

As a Gold sponsor, Optimal Industrial Technologies will play a key role in supporting the event and underscore its commitment to promoting scientific learning and cooperation within the biosciences community.

Jonique Samuels, Innovations Manager at Optimal Industrial Technologies, will represent the company at the summer school. She will deliver a presentation on the advanced functionality of synTQ, Optimal’s Process Analytical Technology (PAT) knowledge management platform. This presentation will highlight the importance of PAT in modern biotechnology and demonstrate how synTQ can enhance research and development processes.

Eamonn Garry, Optimal Group CEO, said: “The summer school is a fantastic opportunity for students to expand their horizons on bioanalysis, biocatalysis, and biosynthesis.

“Events like this play a key role in educating the next generation of scientists about PAT. We want to expose the scientists of tomorrow to this technology and build an even stronger scientific community. Our support of this event reflects our ongoing commitment to bioscience education.”

The International Summer School on Advanced Biotechnology is a collaborative effort, with participating institutions including FHNW, HES-SO, MCI the Entrepreneurial School, University of Bern, University of Freiburg i.B., University of Palermo, University of Zürich, and ZHAW.
