Portescap extends support for French speaking markets with new website

Global leader in miniature electric motor solutions, Portescap, has increased its support for France and French speaking markets with the launch of a new website. The French language website will support OEM design engineers and provides motor specifications, drawings, 3D models and features to provide fast miniature motor selection. To further support existing French speaking Portescap customers, the website enables rapid selection and request of spare parts and access to customer support.

The launch of Portescap’s new website is aimed at French language OEMs and engineers in France, Belgium, Switzerland and additional French-speaking locations. The website can be accessed at www.portescap.com/fr-fr or by selecting French from the language menu on portescap.com. New features to help design engineers identify the right motor for their application include a solutions menu tab that identifies motors according to desired characteristics such as speed, torque or power density. Motors can also be quickly selected based on application type, choosing from surgical power tools, robotics and aerospace, among many others.

In addition to product listings of miniature brushless DC motors, brush DC motors and stepper motors, full product specifications are available including downloadable PDF format with line drawings, plus CAD drawings in DXF format and 3D drawings in STP format. To navigate directly to the required information, the homepage search bar can handle specific, long form search queries.

The website also includes a wide variety of educational resources. These are aimed at guiding engineers to make the most appropriate choice of technology as part of their OEM design requirements. This ranges from guides on technology such as motor construction through to white papers handling more complex aspects of system design and control.

The website is mobile-optimised to make it easy to use when on the factory floor or while servicing an application. The website also includes local contact details if support is required. Information on company events, news and social media links are also clearly presented to help engineers keep up with developments from Portescap and technology within the miniature motor industry.
