Prime Vision partners with Dell Technologies to develop hybrid AI for logistics sorting centres

29th May 2025

Prime Vision has signed a partnership with Dell Technologies to develop full-stack edge computing solutions for hybrid artificial intelligence (AI) at sorting and fulfilment centres. Continuing an existing relationship[1] in the post and parcel and fulfilment sectors, the partnership delivers a connected experience at the edge to reduce cost and latency while increasing efficiency and security.

Computer vision and robotics expert for the logistics sector, Prime Vision, uses AI-powered data systems to provide its customers with tracking, validation and full visibility in warehouse sorting processes. The company has worked with Dell hardware for many years, and this collaboration builds on the relationship to develop the potential of hybrid AI at the edge for sorting centre logistics.

Traditional Cloud systems can hold massive amounts of information, but as they store and process data in one central location – often hundreds of miles from users – they can suffer from slow decision-making. Edge computing stores and processes data as close to the action as possible, delivering the instant responses needed in logistics centres, even when datasets are very large. Prime Vision’s hybrid AI solutions combine the best of both, with real-time edge processing that taps into Dell’s powerful Cloud network.

Prime Vision intelligence and Dell’s zero trust infrastructure unite in hybrid AI solutions that blends the speed and security of local device management with the power of centralised data analysis. It also reduces costs by minimising dependence on external data storage; customers enjoy improved control, trust, and potential compliance benefits as their data stays within their sorting centres.

These low-impact, collaborative solutions integrate with existing infrastructure and benefits from Prime Vision’s expert technical support. Developed using real-world environments, it represents the next step for data processing in logistics sorting and fulfilment centres.

Julian Gonzalez Verbeek, Technology Director at Prime Vision, said: “Working more closely with Dell will help us deliver a connected operating model at the edge on a global scale. Together, we will function as a complete full stack provider. Dell’s NativeEdge platform provides the basis for accelerated innovation in the design, development and deployment of new technology in warehouse automation systems and sorting centres.”
